Finding Frank at the ANZAC memorial museum Canberra

We have visited this beautiful memorial and my sister and brother-in-law went to find Frank's name. They also found out more. He was missing in action. 

Pension

I also rang Frank's other grand-daughter in Leeds. She has no time for him saying that he can rot in hell for the way he treated her lovely grandmother who in fact lived reasonably well in Leeds because of his Australian war pension.

A new section of the family

Thanks to the internet we now know Frank and Dora had two children and we have living relatives in Yorkshire and the Midlands! Had a delightful chat to Audrey Thirkill who is 81 and mother of Karen Waddington who was most helpful. I still have lots of gaps e.g. dates of birth and death, where people lived, etc. so any more information you can offer would be great! Also need to add to ancestry.com all thenumerous relatives. I added a few as we were talking. Such a shame the house was cleared and they have no photos. Other people have added themselves on Face Book eg. Malcolm Woodhouse, Chris and Andrew Thirkill!
